Highway 66
Route 66 is one of the most iconic highways in the United States. Stretching from Chicago to Los Angeles, the highway spans over 2,000 miles and passes through eight states. Route 66 was established in 1926 and quickly became a popular route for tourists and vacationers driving west. Route 66 remains a popular tourist destination today, with many people visiting to experience a piece of American history. The highway is also a reminder of the origin and evolution of road transportation in the United States.
